Slacking Off!!!

Yes, I am! And I am sorry. We have been so busy with wakes and funeral, and graduations and birthdays and regular life-stuff that I haven't spent time at the desk typing.

Wednesday June 16 was the 2nd Annual Memorial Dinner for Lou Carbone at Verona Restaurant in Melville. Food is good, company is better, donations to cancer patients-the best!

Friday June 18 we went to Baci Abbracci in Williamsburg with Joe and Denise and Tom and Monica. Food was good, outdoor seating was better, company was the best!

Saturday June 19 we left the beach and spent the evening under the stars at Vin and Wendy's with Steve and Lori and had good food and good company!

Sunday, we spent Father's Day with Joe and Denise (and our boys were actually there for a few minutes)!!!

Monday, I wandered Chinatown looking for a knock-off Louis Vuitton belt for Jesse (no luck) and also discovered that Chatham Restaurant with THE BEST pork buns has lost their lease and are now closed. Total Bummer!

Last night we met the Wisners at La Bella Cucina (near Juniper Park) for Jill's birthday!! Food was okay, service sucked but the company was great!!

Tomorrow, Jesse is Graduating High School!!!! We are having lunch at Vincent's on Old Country Road afterwards. Then I am coming home to COLLAPSE!

Up For Grabs

Friday night Michael and I tried a place we've never been, La Bella Cucina on Juniper Valley South. We sat outside. We had a stuffed artichoke, fried calamari, brick oven pizza with cherry peppers and garlic, fresh fruit and espresso. Everything was averagely good. The sky turned a beautiful blue and some stars came out. That was the best part (aside from being with Michael).

Saturday, after we looked at wood flooring samples (entire apt. flooded in April), I went into the city, wandered around a bit, had a pretzel, looked in all the store windows (Prada, LV, etc), walked through Central Park, came home. For dinner, Michael and I went to Dani's. Had our favorite soup-stracciatella-and eggplant parm, chicken with peppers and onions and spinach on the side. Terrific!

Sunday we went to our friend Leslie's house. It was her daughter's birthday. They have a really nice house with a beautiful, park-like yard. Always good food, good wine and good friends :)

Tonight was boring. I made chicken cutlets with string beans and garlic on the side. I ate salad, then a handful of Milk Duds. Diet of champions...

Tomorrow night, I am meeting my brother for dinner along with our most longtime family friend, Sue. We are going to Circa Enoteca in Mineola.

The rest of the week is up for grabs.
